Dear friends, this update is for you who have been following my blog for a long time .
Since September 2021 I have been here in the Maldives, where I will stay for a while.
I have always wanted to know the islands of the Maldives, so I am happy to be on an atoll not far from Male.
This Maldivian island is very large compared to the other islands of the Maldives.
The resort I work for is one of the largest and longest-running in the Maldives islands,
My goal here on this private Maldivian island (hosting only our clients and staff) is to contribute to their success while gaining a new personal life experience.
For the uninitiated, the Maldives are a Muslim country, so my healthy lifestyle together with a diet rich in fruit, vegetables, fish and above all the non-consumption of alcohol as I describe in my book The Black and White “Smile” ! It fits perfectly into the Maldivian culture.
Below is a small summary of my career and for those who only approached my blog now.

I created this blog to keep you updated on my travels and to share some easy recipes to make at home.
I am 39 years old and I was born in Milan in February 1982,
I moved to Calabria very young and soon I started learning to cook in my parents’ restaurant.
At the age of 17 I left the South and returned to the North where I studied at the prestigious “Erminio Maggia” Hotel School in Stresa on the shores of “Lake Maggiore” .
Where I spent the evenings working in hotels and restaurants in the area, sometimes as a cook and other like a waiter.
Before leaving Italy to explore the world, I made sure I had acquired enough of what Italy has to offer by working in different regions of the “Bel Paese”
From the sea to the mountains, from south to north passing through central Italy, including Abruzzo, Calabria, Piedmont, Valle d’Aosta, Lombardy. Which means assimilating the different traditions, cultures and knowing different ingredients and techniques.
From an established Executive Chef of a 5-star Hotel to a Culinary Consultant:
The passion has led me to travel and work not only in Italy but also in Europe, the Middle East and Asia where I have gained vast culinary and life experiences.
My resume includes travel experiences in over 10 countries.
I have obtained and maintained ‘The Golden Q’ from “Ospitalità Italiana”for most of the Italian restaurants he has worked for.
I also received the “Silver Plate” which I got after a themed dinner organized with the representative of the Italian Academy of Cuisine in one of the restaurants of the hotel for which I worked.
Along with my experiences in Italy, France, UK, Spain, Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria, Indonesia and Dubai.
I traveled and was inspired by the more than 30 countries I visited while working for Silversea, an award-winning 6-star cruise ship.
I have affirmed my career as an Executive Chef in Europe working for Radisson Blu and InterContinental.
My last assignment as Executive Chef for international hotel chains was from 2019 to 2020 with Marriott Hotels & Resorts, East Java-Indonesia.
Where I worked as an Executive Chef for two pre-opening hotels.
Now I continue to travel the world as a Consultant Chef, to write books and above all to tell my experiences through this blog.
The “Recipes” of my Smile – It is my first book and is available in 4 languages: English, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese.
